Earlier this week, the Sarasota County Public Works Stormwater team was reinforcing the berm that separates the Cow Pen Slough and Phillippi Creek watersheds. The berm, constructed for agricultural purposes several decades ago, is there to direct drainage on the east side to Cow Pen Slough and on the west side to Phillippi Creek.
