Duke football snapped its two-game losing streak with a 19-16 victory at Virginia on Friday, Oct. 23, at Scott Stadium. For the first time in three weeks, Duke (5-2, 2-2 ACC) took a late lead and its defense was able to come up with a stop on the other end after Patrick-Smith Young intercepted Beau Pribula with 36 seconds to go.

Duke now leads 25-21 with 2:40 to go, its first lead of the day. The Blue Devils offense was unable to capitalize on the defensive stop, punting the ball back to the Yellow Jackets after going 13 yards in six plays.

The Blue Devils didn't simply overwhelm Tennessee with one superstar performance. Six players scored in double figures, and their dominance in the paint revealed how dangerous this team could become.

North Carolina took down Duke football 24-20 on Saturday, Oct. 17 at Wallace Wade Stadium. The Blue Devils scored 20 unanswered points to take their first lead against the Tar Heels (4-2, 2-1 ACC), but UNC used a late touchdown to regain the lead and held on for victory after Walker Eget's pass with seconds left was intercepted.
