NEW YORK (AP) — The New York Islanders plan on moving their American Hockey League affiliate from Bridgeport, Connecticut, to Hamilton, Ontario, for next season, the franchise announced on Thursday. The relocation requires approval by the AHL Board of Governors.

The New York Islanders and Oak View Group officially announced their intention to relocate their AHL affiliate Bridgeport Islanders to Hamilton, Ontario, for the beginning of the 2026-27 AHL season.
